This is a photographers dream with stunning scenery. We drive south east from Hanoi to Ninh Binh where we will explore this very scenic area of Tam Coc and Trang An. Exploration of caves at different altitudes has revealed archaeological traces of human activity over a continuous period of more than 30,000 years. They illustrate the occupation of these mountains by seasonal hunter-gatherers and how they adapted to major climatic and environmental changes, especially the repeated inundation of the landscape by the sea after the last ice age. The story of human occcupation continues through the Neolithic and Bronze Ages to the historical era. Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Viet Nam.

Pick up at 8 AM to Ninh Binh, after 2 hours driving we get to Tam Coc for a short walk in a small beautiful village then leaving on the cycling trip to the picturesque quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc and Trang An, visit Mua cave then having lunch.

After lunch, a sampan boat journey in Tam Coc – the heart of “Inland Ha Long Bay”. Take in the beauty of the karsts formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone.

Stop for a short rest near a small shrine before returning to the dock. Totally, you have 2 hours on the sampan boat. Then drive back to Hanoi
